Citizen Consultation Survey: A Project with UNDP
Citizen Consultation Survey: A Project with UNDP
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) required a firm to conduct a telephonic survey on the recent event of flood from the Merged Areas (MAs). The KP Flood Survey was divided into the following activities:
A questionnaire was shared by UNDP. All these questions were related to the event of a flood.
- The survey was to be conducted in Bajaur, Khyber, Kurram, Mohmand, North Waziristan, Orakzai, South Waziristan, Charsadda, Dera Ismail Khan, Lower Dir, Mardan, Nowshera, Swat, and Upper Dir
- There were three variants of the questionnaire i.e., Variant A, B, and C
- A total of 12,000 sample size was to be completed through the telephonic survey
Sysmatixx understood the details of the project and undertook the list of following activities:
- When the questionnaire was shared with our team, a pilot was conducted
- In order to do the pilot testing,
- A training session for software developers was conducted by our senior team
- After training, software was developed for the telephonic survey. The software developers also tested the developed software (checked for errors, bugs, glitches, etc)
- Enumerators were trained on the usage of the software and Questionnaire
- Enumerators first completed the stage of pilot testing
- The pilot forms were QA-ed by the QA expert
- A pilot dataset and a pilot report were submitted to the UNDP
- The UNDP team checked the report and the dataset in detail
- After the go-ahead on the pilot forms, the actual survey was conducted
- The enumerators completed 4000 questionnaire forms in Variant A, 4000 forms in Variant B, and 4000 questionnaire forms in Variant C
- Before this, enumerators were trained on the questionnaire (how to communicate effectively and how to pitch questions). The training was provided on every single question of the questionnaire
- When needed, short training sessions were also conducted from time to time to clear out any ambiguity faced by the enumerators.
- The completed forms were QA-ed. The training was also provided by the QA person if necessary
- The UNDP had access to monitor the entire activity either through physical visits or live monitoring
A clean and finalised dataset was provided to the UNDP team in the desired format
